Phillip Thompson | Logistical Mastermind
Meet the man who started it all! Back in 2021, Phill was at a crossroads- go back to the grind of the service industry, or try something completely new. With his cousin by his side, he dove into the world of pre-owned sofas. Selling them off of Facebook Marketplace one cozy find at a time.
What started as a side hustle quickly became something more. Phill discovered a love for the freedom, creativity and simple joy of helping people find that perfect piece for their home. It wasn't just furniture- it was a fresh start. For both the pieces and himself.
Before long, his wife Taylor joined the ride. By 2024, they knew it was time to go all in. They gave their growing hustle a name, a brand and a purpose- turning a chance moment into a shared dream.
Outside of work, Phill is passionate about gardening with native plants here in the Nashville area. He's also a musician who plays both piano and violin. When he's not in the garden or making music, he loves spending time with the people closest to him- whether that's exploring local nurseries or unwinding at a neighborhood brewery.
Taylor Thompson | Visual Guru
If you had told Taylor back in high school that she’d grow up to sell sofas for a living, she would’ve laughed you right out of the room. Yet here she is—knee-deep in the furniture game and loving every second of it. Before jumping in, she spent most of her career as a receptionist. But after watching her husband build something fun, fresh, and totally unique- she couldn’t resist the pull. Now, the two of them run the show together, turning their shared vision into the cozy, creative business it is today.
In her spare time, you’ll find Taylor strolling through Shelby Park with her husband and their two chihuahua sidekicks, soaking up every bit of fresh air and sunshine. A fashionista at heart, she loves hunting down new looks on shopping trips with her girls. And just like her husband, she’s wild about native plants— even wilder about all the little critters that visit their garden because of them. Oh and her favorite fun fact to drop? She raises butterflies for fun. Yes, really.
Ben Bergman | Jack of All Trades
Ben came on board with the R.E. team in October 2024 and has been a total rockstar ever since. Creative, quick on his feet, and passionate about what he does—he’s been a key part of the crew from day one. Not only does he clean our gorgeous Pre-Loved sofas to perfection, but you’ll also catch him selling them like a pro during our Sunday shifts!
Ben’s an artist through and through—you can check out his work on Etsy here! He’s big on board games and quality time with friends, often hosting game nights that turn into the coziest hangouts. And get this—he once rescued a couple of newborn kittens and bottle-fed them around the clock. Now they run the house and have him totally wrapped around their tiny paws.
Dustin Sendejas | Deliverer of Sofas
Dustin’s been part of the R.E. crew almost as long as the owners have! He’s reliable, flexible, and makes the whole delivery process feel effortless. Whether it’s a tight schedule or a tricky setup, Dustin handles it all with a calm, can-do attitude that puts both the team and our customers at ease.
Dustin’s a true Nashville musician, sharing his soulful sound all over town—you can even check out his work here! He’s also a bit of a philosopher (literally—he’s got the degree to prove it) and loves diving into deep convos with friends and strangers alike. When he’s not jamming or philosophizing, you’ll probably find him kicked back on his porch, lost in a good sci-fi novel.
Mizanur Rahman | Virtual Genius
Phill's right-hand man, Mizanur is a dedicated team member from Bangladesh who brings passion and energy to his work every day. He is so happy being part of our business, where his commitment to excellence truly shines. Taking initiative and bringing creative/positive ideas forward, he has been an integral addition to our team.
Outside of work, Mizanur enjoys exploring new places on solo weekend trips, finding inspiration in every journey. A lifelong learner, he is also an avid reader who believes that knowledge and new experiences are the keys to personal and professional growth.
